About College PowerPrep
Who We AreIn 1984 we developed our first classroom program to help students prepare for the SAT and ACT. Since then we have helped thousands of students make dramatic improvements in their scores and gain entrance into the college of their choice. Over the last 12 years we have developed a variety of training tools to help students prepare, including workbooks, software, and videos, based on our belief that effective SAT and ACT preparation rests on solid principles - build content knowledge in verbal and math areas, teach deductive reasoning using test taking strategies, and practice. In 1995 we were asked to partner with the Microsoft Corporation in their launching of The Microsoft Network and pioneered the use of online classroom sessions and comprehensive preparation for the SAT. In 1996 we are bringing those programs, and others, to the Internet. Our focus will continue to be on providing students with effective preparation programs based on sound educational principles while incorporating the advances technology allows.
